This session provides a clear overview of hearing restoration options for acoustic neuroma. Dr. Le will review the role of cochlear implants (CIs), including key candidacy factors such as cochlear nerve integrity, tumour characteristics and timing of intervention, along with expected outcomes. He will also discuss auditory brainstem implants (ABIs), including how they differ from CIs, when they may be considered, and current access in Canada. The session will conclude with a brief look at emerging therapeutic approaches and their potential future impact on patient care.
