Dr. Heather Baltzer is an associate professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto and the Dr. Ajay Virmani Chair in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She currently serves as the Head of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University Health Network in Toronto and is the Director of the Hand Program at the Schroeder Arthritis Institute.

Dr. Baltzer joined the Division of Plastic Surgery at in Toronto in 2015 and her clinical practice is mainly peripheral nerve surgery. She developed the adult facial nerve program at the University Health Network with Dr. Ronald Zuker in 2016. 

Originally from Nova Scotia, Heather completed her medical school and plastic surgery residency at the University of Toronto and then spent a year at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship.
